5 Fatal LATICRETE Installation Mistakes

254 Platinum already contains maximum dry redispersible polymer powder. Mixing it with a liquid latex additive instead of clean water overdoses the polymers, creating a rubbery mix that never cures hard.
HYDRO BAN applies light sage green and turns dark olive green when completely dry. Applying mortar while it is still light green tears the uncured rubber membrane and destroys waterproof integrity.
LATICRETE 272 is an ANSI A118.1 unmodified mortar. Using it over wood subfloors or uncoupling membranes without 333 Flexible Latex Admix causes complete debonding.
