All calculations, bag estimates, water ratios, and trowel recommendations provided by this website are intended exclusively as preliminary planning estimates. Actual mortar consumption on a jobsite is subject to numerous uncontrollable factors, including but not limited to substrate variations, tile warpage, troweling angle, back-buttering thickness, and ambient temperature.
2. Manufacturer Authority Precedence
The official instructions, Technical Data Sheets (TDS), and safety data sheets published by the specific mortar and tile manufacturers (such as MAPEI, LATICRETE, Custom Building Products, Schluter Systems, etc.) always take precedence over any generalized calculation output provided on this site.
3. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Thinset Calculator Authority, its developers, or contributors be held liable for any damages, job delays, material shortages, lippage issues, or bond failures arising out of or in connection with the use of our calculation tools.
