1 Skipping the 10-Minute Chemical Slake

TEC polymer chains require 10 minutes of undisturbed soaking to dissolve. Skipping slaking leaves dry polymer nodules in the mix, reducing shear bond strength and open time.

2 Using TotalFlex on 24×24 Slabs

TotalFlex is designed for standard bed thicknesses ≤ 1/4\". For heavy 24×24 slabs, it will slump overnight, creating severe edge lippage. Use Ultimate 6 Plus.

3 Tiling Over Uncured HydraFlex
