Measure up from the lowest point of the tub or floor exactly one tile height minus 1/8". Using a 4-foot level, screw a straight wood 1×3 ledger board into the wall studs. This provides a rock-solid, dead-level foundation for your entire wall. Tile upward to the ceiling, let set 24 hours, remove the board, and cut bottom tiles individually to match the floor slope.

2. Thixotropic Non-Sag Mortar Mechanics (ANSI A118.4T)
